A Vibrant Oil Pastels Portrait with Mathilde Polidori
Create a portrait in oil pastels with vibrant colors.
Discover the world of Mathilde Polidori. Born in Lyon in 1987, Mathilde Polidori is a French artist and muralist based in Paris. Through her oils on canvas, pastels, and monumental murals, she questions the emotional and sensual nuances of the faces around her. Her works, often done in close-up, explore the themes of femininity, masculinity, and otherness. She draws inspiration from figures such as Georgia O’Keeffe to intensify the proximity with her subjects, while playing with vibrant colors and an almost abstract approach to light and shadow. Mathilde Polidori has collaborated with brands such as Tip Toe, Perrier and won the first prize of the Jury M Le Monde in 2020. Her works have been exhibited in Paris, New York, London and recently at the Edgar Mélik Museum. In October 2024, she published her first monographic work, "Palettes".
We will work on an Oil Pastel Pad paper in 24x32. A palette of oil pastels with pink, purple, orange, white, dark earth, white, blue tones.
