March, 8, 2020
The 3 Sennelier prizes were awarded Saturday in Boulogne sur Mer at the opening of the International Biennial of Pastel d'Opale.
The work of a jury is never easy. Here certainly more than elsewhere, because of the quality of the artworks, his choice was extremely difficult. The public was numerous to listen to the long-awaited prize list. In the hall were many talented pastellists, local elected officials and representatives of the specialized press, in particular Stéphanie Portal of Pratique des Arts. French Pastellist societies also made the trip, such as Sylvie Poirson, President of “Art du Pastel en France”, and Liliane Desmarest, President of the “Société des Pastellistes de France”
Yves-Marie Salanson, Sennelier artistic director awarded the first 3 Sennelier Prizes. Christine Dumont, received the first prize of the Salon and won a box of 525 Sennelier pastels. Patrick Martin and Corinne Caillé respectively received the second and third prizes of the Salon, gratified by two other boxes of Sennelier pastels.
The three Sennelier boxes will be on display throughout the duration of the show, which will close on March 22.
