Monday Live with annick Vallenet from La Palmyre Pastel Festival

On June 2nd, we'll be live from the Côte de Beauté Pastel Festival, alongside Annick Vallenet, to create a wonderfully colorful pastel, just as she knows how. It will also be an opportunity to enter a giveaway for a chance to win a box of 40 half-pastels.

 A graduate of the Nancy School of Fine Arts, Annick Vallenet worked as an illustrator in an advertising studio before devoting herself exclusively to her passion: pastel. 

This medium, whose unparalleled pigment quality she appreciates, evokes tremendous emotions and allows for all her creative imaginations.

 A plein-air and landscape painter, Annick Vallenet seeks to break free from figuration through a deconstruction of color and the use of simple geometric shapes, particularly squares and rectangles, which she superimposes with a slight shift to create subtle chromatic gradations. She thus achieves a completeness from which springs a vibrant force that will sweep the viewer away.
