Monday Live, The Eiffel Tower with anna Filimonova

On July 7, we will be broadcasting live from the beautiful concert hall of the Rachmaninoff Conservatory in Paris, facing the Eiffel Tower. This legendary venue, once frequented by iconic figures such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sergei Lifar, and Fyodor Chaliapin, remains a center of artistic education. Since 2021, it has also housed the School of Classical Drawing, founded by artist Anna Filimonova, supported by her colleague Natalia Leybia. We will reunite with Anna Filimonova to create a wonderful watercolor of the Iron Lady. A graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, Anna moved to Paris in 1992 on a scholarship from the French government. Throughout her life, she has combined a career as a painter with that of a cultural event producer. She will also discuss the International Large-Format Outdoor Painting Festival, which she founded, as well as the School of Classical Drawing. She pursues a brilliant international career, combining painting, teaching, and organizing artistic events, notably with this festival in Normandy, which brings together artists from around the world to create outdoors. Anna is particularly fond of watercolor, a technique she practices with ease and approaches today with a freedom of movement and a unique spontaneity. For her, it is an ideal medium for capturing the light and atmosphere of a place, especially when painting Paris, her adopted city for over thirty years. She uses Sennelier colors for their depth and vibrancy, which help her render what she sees with accuracy and sensitivity. Among her favorite subjects is the Eiffel Tower, which she paints tirelessly, at all hours and in all light conditions. This iconic silhouette is for her what the haystack was for Monet: an inexhaustible motif, both familiar and ever-changing. Her watercolors of the capital, whether by night or day, are imbued with a singular urban poetry, somewhere between sensitive figuration and free interpretation.http://filimonova.com/ https://www.dessinclassique.fr https://frenchpleinairpainters.com/ https://www.instagram.com/annafilimonovaartist/ This live stream will also be an opportunity to participate in a giveaway for a chance to win a travel box of 8 tubes of Sennelier extra-fine watercolor.
